Who we are
It all started with a single bike. In 2014, we set off on an adventure that sparked a passion for electric bikes. What began as a love for cycling soon grew into something biggerโVelectriX. Based on Queenslandโs Sunshine Coast, we set out to create electric bikes that offer more than just a ride. We wanted to make cycling accessible, enjoyable, and for everyoneโno matter age, experience, or destination.
Weโre not just creating electric bikes; weโre crafting experiences that bring freedom, adventure, and a fresh way of getting from A to B. VelectriX is for every riderโwhether youโre a city commuter, weekend cruiser, or adventure seeker.
2014
We started as a family-owned electric bike retailer based in Australia, driven by a passion for getting more Aussies on electric bikes. It was here we started planning a new range of electric bikes.
2016
We took the leap and launched our own electric bike range, VelectriX, selling 200 eBikes in the first three weeks! We introduced the Foldaway and Urban models, which quickly became fan favourites.
2020
A major milestone – 40,000 VelectriX electric bikes sold across Australia! Itโs been an incredible journey, and we couldnโt have done it without our loyal customers.
2025
Weโre excited to unveil our latest range of robust electric bikes, including the new SUV fat bike. With enhanced power, greater carrying capacity, and longer battery range, these bikes are ready for whatever adventure you throw at them.

It’s does everything it says on the box. I love the fact that I’m still getting a cardio and muscular workout. 5 levels of assistance I only use 2 and 3 on steep hills. It cuts out after 25 kph which is my average speed on a 70k ride

Absolutely fantastic bike. So pleased with it. The pedal assist is great for steep hills, very responsive. Battery is pretty good for the kms Iโm doing considering thereโs a lot of hills where I live. Brakes are great. Really happy with my purchase (just wish Iโd bought this a long time ago!)

Very happy with my VelectriX Electric Step Through Cruiser Bike. Very quiet motor, great brakes and gears and perfect size for me. I haven’t ridden for some time and this bike is stable and I am feeling confident when riding it.
